Jon Lovitz: “Israel’s in the Position of Kill or be Killed"

Comedian and actor Jon Lovitz has a simple question - why aren't celebrities speaking out in support of Israel? He's known for comedy but his question is a serious one.

Lovitz has been making himself available for interviews to talk about the Israel-Hamas war. In an interview on NewsNation's Dan Abrams Live, Lovitz was asked about how the universities and colleges were handling the campus protests. He didn't mince words. They aren't handling the protests.

“I don't, doesn't seem like they have been dealing with it. I mean, ask yourself, how do they get on the campus in the first place? Not the students, but the people that, that don't even go to school there. And clearly, somebody's behind this and paying for it and organizing it.”

Lovitz is particularly upset about professors who refuse to condemn Hamas or take a stand. He attended the University of California-Irvine. He cited a recent news report from Columbia University.

“They showed a guy interviewing all these professors from Columbia going in support the protesters, and asking them, ‘You think it’s wrong about, you know, asking for genocide of the Jews?’ … or, ‘Do you denounce Hamas?’, and none of them would say it.”

Lovitz said it is undeniable that Israel has to fight to survive. “Israel’s in the position of kill or be killed because Hamas has said ‘we’re going to keep doing October 7 over and over and over." He called out Hamas as a terrorist organization.

He recalled memories of his college days and the same kind of harassment.

Students have a right to express themselves but once they enter campus, there are rules to follow, as they signed on to when they were accepted to their university. All colleges have rules. If students violate the rules, they are supposed to be held accountable. In this case, protesters must get a permit and abide by the school guidelines. Students are trespassing when they are told to disperse and they don't follow that order. Why are universities allowing outside agitators to join the protests and begin to cause violence?

“I don't, doesn't seem like they have been dealing with it. I mean, ask yourself, how do they get on the campus in the first place? Not the students, but the people that, that don't even go to school there. And clearly, somebody's behind this and paying for it and organizing it. And I don't know who, but it's like, they don't they don't say anything. They don't do anything. So it's just going to, that's why it's popping up all over because no one's doing anything. And I don't know I was raised if the policeman tells me to do something. I do it. I don't fight a cop. The guy's a policeman - he is the law, and he's got a gun. I mean, you've got to be insane. To fight a policeman. It’s just nuts to me. And if they tell you to leave, you go. And if you don't go, you're gonna get arrested. Well, then, alright, so they're getting arrested. What do they expect? You know, they're not martyrs.”

Pro-Hamas protesters hold Jewish students responsible for what is happening in Israel. It's unacceptable. Jewish students are no longer safe on their university campus in many places. They have been told to study online instead of going to class.

Lovitz was asked if he is receiving blowback for speaking out and he said no. He would like to know why more celebrities are not doing so.

“No, none. No, I got friends, thanking me, Jewish people, non-Jewish people. You know, saying I think it's good. You say that. And I don't believe it. Most of the people in United States whether they're Jewish or not, they don't they don't think this is right. You know, I don't understand how. They go we're Hamas. To me that's that's treason. Hamas stated very clearly, their goal is to wipe out all the Jews in the world, wipe out Israel.

Lovitz is right. It is treasonous for an American to declare himself or herself as Hamas. Hamas has been designated as a terrorist organization. Yet the spoiled brats on college campuses feel empowered to declare such statements. They do so with impunity because they can. They are not being held accountable.

The protesters are being funded by dark money donors. The goal is to destroy America as we know it and usher in Marxism. They have to be stopped. If current university presidents don't have the backbone to do so, replace them. That's the ticket.
